The dramatic coastline boasting some of the highest cliffs in the country; the great sweeps of heather and bracken moorland; the beautiful valleys and combes with crystal clear streams and rivers tumbling down to the coast; and of course the ancient oak woodlands.

The Lodge at Myrtleberry is surrounded by National Trust land in an area of Special Scientific Interest. There are approximately 70 miles of footpaths leading from the doorstep, taking you through the variety of Exmoor’s landscape. It is also possible to explore on horseback or by bicycle.

Lynton & Lynmouth

The picturesque fishing village of Lynmouth, with its sister village of Lynton on the hill above, are no more than a mile and a half down river. Here there are a selection of shops, a cinema, pubs and eateries as well as the famous water-powered Victorian cliff railway.
